Custom Engraving Information

Custom Engraving quotes are handled on an individual basis as follows:

1)  Email us the information requested below and attach your image.

2)  Images require several labor intensive steps to convert into the proper format for our engraving equipment. The image should be in a high quality format following the guidelines below.

3)  We will evaluate your submission and email you a representation of the image, a quote for the one time set-up charge for conversion, and assign it an ID#.

4)  Approve the set-up charge by placing your order. Follow the Custom Engraving Form link in the top horizontal Engraving Services drop-down menu. Select the correct Set-Up charge quoted to you (one time set-up fee). Enter the ID# assigned to your custom image. Remember to add the watch to your Shopping Cart and any other engraving services desired.

NOTE: Please allow an extra business day or two for the image conversion to be completed after the order has been placed.

Image submissions should follow these guidelines:

1. If the image is copyrighted or trademarked you should have permission to use the image you submit.
We will not be held responsible for copyright infringement.

2. The image you submit should be of high quality, preferably a B&W Line Drawing with a resolution of at least 300 dpi. Images should be submitted in .jpg, .tiff, .bmp or PDF format. Please do not submit an .eps file (Encapsulated PostScript), Adobe Illustrator or MS Power Point presentation.

3. Color images will be converted to greyscale. Color photographs seldom make good candidates for conversion as too much detail will be lost.

4. We are always willing to evaluate any image you have, in virtually any format. However, optimum results can only be obtained from images that meet the above criteria.

5. A one time set-up fee is charged to convert your image into the proper format for our equipment. The fees listed below apply only to images that meet the submission criteria as outlined above. Those that do not meet the criteria will require more cleanup and conversion, and therefore incur a higher set-up fee. A quote will be provided in all cases.

6. Typical set-up charges are:

$10.00 - Minor modifications to Stock Image/Logos.

$20.00 - Simple images with very little detail.

$30.00 - Moderately complex images with more detailed areas.

$40.00 - Detailed images with lots of text or complex characters.

$50.00 - Complex images with large amounts of intricate detail.

NOTE: We have an extensive library of images and corporate logos. Please search our Stock Image & Logo Library to see if we already have a suitable stock image for you to use. If so, there will be no set-up charge required.
